Observing the attempts of a protagonist to overcome, it would seem, hopeless situations and the stressful stress was interesting. Honestly, the series did not hook me at the first acquaintance, even seemed very mediocre, but after reviewing my opinion about it improved greatly, although some complaints left for me. Therefore, I wanted to see a continuation, about which nothing was heard for a long time. And now, after 4 years of jokes about the “curse of the second seasons”, Re: Zero Finally returned. At that moment, a credit of trust was formed to Title, and I was sure that the continuation would be at the level of the first season, or even better. It was a mistake. The season was very disappointed, and the miracle of revision, as it happened with the first, did not work: the opinion only strengthened. Why did everything work like that?

Let’s first talk about the tie: remember what happened in the first season and where the second begins.

The main character – Subaru Natsuki. He lived his usual life of a Japanese schoolboy, when he suddenly moved the world to fantasy. There, Subaru met a girl-elven Emilia (I know that she is only half an elf, but for simplicity I will not celebrate this every time), at first glance falls in love and begins to spend time with her. It is upset that the tie of the second season is slightly depreciated by Subaru’s work done at the end of the first, but even so it began to be interesting, throwing out the expositions about the world and the little things. However, over time, there is a feeling that there is too much of it: they tell us everything, tell, and nothing really happens. And then they sharply begin to disassemble everything, in a hurry to reveal the things mentioned earlier and along the way some action proceeds … and then they say something again, they say. In short, the pace of the narrative is not even even. This was especially felt in the second half. Something similar was in the first season, but it seems to me there it did not show itself so brightly. Perhaps the point was that then they told less and not so often went into details. And here we have the past of Subaru, and the background of Emilia, and the ENT “Witches of Sin”, and the story of Roswell with Beatrice, and the problems of asylum and some of his individual inhabitants, and about Oh Lord, stop. In addition, in the first season, all this happened within the framework of several arches, and here we have one big. If in the first season I generally liked the characters and I had questions for them only in some points on which you could close my eyes, then in the second season darkness with them. The logic in their actions is not always traced, the arches of some are very uneven, and the moments that should show them from the best side do everything exactly the opposite. I’ll clarify that in this regard there are bright moments and this does not apply to all characters, but even in this case there are enough problems.

Take it Subaru. In the first season, his past was not affected, and it could be assumed that in our world he was a typical Hikki-Zadrot, because he did not have such reasons to remember his life in his native Japan. But, as a result of some events, this moment devoted time and talked about his life in Japan and about his native protagonist. It turned out, surprisingly, very heartbreaking and a little even dramatic.

On the one hand, this is not Hilo so reveals the character, and indeed I really like similar touching plots.

On the other, why did the hero not remembered this in the first season? Why not even mentioned about this moment even semi -items? If it were in other Iseches, where the main character was a closed Hikki-Zadrot, obsessed with anything but games and anime, an orphan without relatives, obsessed with an office clerk or someone else, would not have arisen, because in these cases they do not affect the topic, and it is not difficult to think about the relationship of the hero with his environment in his native world. But here they decided to note this, and I can’t understand why the hero seemed to score on an important component part of his life? For such a lively and positive guy, such behavior looks very unnatural.

This can be attributed to the fact that he was not up to it: something forever threatened, he constantly paid his attention to other things and generally needs to think at important moments not about the family. In general, it sounds logical, let’s say.

From the third, the devil knows from which side, it is not clear how it will play in the future. Because now he will have to at least sometimes remember the past, not to mention the fact to think at least for a while to return back to Japan, and maybe for good. In the meantime, this is more like a workpiece, though I have a feeling that nothing will happen, and everything will turn out to be a zilch for the sake of tears, because the segment with relatives in the second season is no longer mentioned at its end. Maybe then he will still play his role and in the future a character will have a complex dilemma. In short, it is not clear that the next seasons should be waiting here, and in general it may be a matter of me and at a certain angle there are no problems here.

At the same time, this can only be the last opportunity to say goodbye to parents, but in this case this topic is unlikely to raise and recall in the future. In addition, the last farewell to real and living parents (the last moment is very important, because in a different situation I would sing differently) and their illusion are felt very differently.

But I can’t develop the character stagnation. Secondly, the season is raised by the topic that Subaru should not act alone, try to self-flagrant, but somehow ask your friends with friends for help. This is all very good, but there is one problem – it was the same in the first season. I would not mind if the topic was revealed from the other side or returned to it in later arches (maybe with another state of the hero and the events that take place, she would be perceived differently, I don’t know), but no, they told everything in the same form back in 2016 And nothing really changed. Because of this, a couple of attempts by the hero in the reasoning between everything that happens look stupid. In particular, his speech at the end of the first part of the second season (why suddenly the series began to share this way?) caused only a desire to stop watching the episode.

In fact, the dialogs in general strongly upset me, because sometimes the conversations of the characters seemed to be some unnatural, overloaded and monotonous, as if they were sometimes written by a neural network. And the problem is not in the actors, they just tried and played out their roles, this aspect of me both in the first season pleased and in the second.

I also have a complaint about the whining of Subaru. I will make a remark: he ached both in the first season, and he had, and in general, he still has excuses in the form of what is happening horror around him, as well as the conditions for activating his ability, to which no adequate person would be used to. Yes, damn it, just “getting used to death” sounds absurd, and therefore I had no problems for the character and his suffering on this basis. However, in the second season to see how the protagonist continues to completely scream and sob without any changes, no longer causes sympathy or experiences. In addition, the authors on all these tantrums have focused too much, devoting a lot of time in different scenes and taking the corresponding angles. He has an understandable and moderately worked out backstory with his cockroaches, for all his screen time acted more than logical, and in general it was pleasant to observe. I also liked that he became secondary from the third -stage character: in the first season, his role was insignificant, but here it was already more noticeable. When this happens, there is a feeling that the significance has not only the main cast, and even the statists can be something more, as if the world is more living. And if this is really because of him, then I have no questions, and I can call it this complete nonsense, which is portrayed as true love without any doubt. Such a combination of circumstances, in addition to bewilderment, does not cause anything. Or I don’t understand something in romance, and modern couples begin their relationship with the fact that someone is kidnapping someone?

I also have complaints with the rest of the main characters, but everything is not so bad with them, or I have personal graters for them, or in no way.

The only exception is mainly caste – Echidna, I have no complaints about her: very charismatic, with her frightening characteristics of character, and which does not seem to do anything in the season, but in fact it turns it all, as she wants. I want to separately highlight her actress: half of the charm of the character as I worked for me thanks to my efforts Maai Sakamoto. In short, I have a positive attitude towards her.

And I want to say the same thing about secondary characters. I like many of them more than some of the main caste. I said about Otto, so I can highlight the Ryuza, which deservedly receives the title of sweeter loli-grandmother. What does it mean? I will not say, as about her difficult fate. I can single out Minerva, who has … an “angry” character, but at the same time a kind soul is unable to harm anyone … even if she wanted. One interesting moment is also connected with her, but, again, it is not clear what he will lead to. One could insert another spoiler where I would tell about them, but I really want to leave the intrigue in their stories, and there is enough for you every time to open the tabs with the text.

Otherwise, it is difficult for me to scold the second season.

Visually, everything looks beautiful here: I do not remember many places where the eyes of the rice is corporal. They are, I can separately highlight the moments of using CGI rabbits, but basically the picture pleased, especially when faces took close -up. Compared to the first season, they took a step forward here, and this despite the fact that there was no problem there this aspect. It is a pity that the scenery themselves, as mentioned earlier, does not change much often, but even so here in abundance of well -set and drawn personnel.

There are also no questions with animation: it is quite spectacular and colorful. It is worth talking separately about the thriller component and about stress. Here, as before, there is enough any related to the heroes of plot twists, as well as pressure that you are in a hopeless situation. However, the tension was more because the characters broke: someone had this behind the scenes, for someone we watched from and to, but in all cases it looks terrifying and even sad in a good sense. It was enough like that in the first season, but it seems to me here to deal with this element better. The moments of sudden piano in the bushes, which can easily dispel tension, disappointed. There were few of them, you can argue with some, but at least one caused me such bewilderment that I thought that somewhere I missed the episode with the preparation of such an unexpected. But no, I did not miss anything.

I can’t help but note that I am not a fan of thrillers, so this component in “Re: Zero” never really pleased me. I got a certain pleasure, but, let’s say, not for this I watched the series.

The conclusions were not comforting for me. There are no scenes and other complaints to the technical component, the production of scenes, but the narrative component was not particularly pleased with. But the monsters returned, and the next confrontation of the divine warriors and wicked creatures begins.

At first glance, everything is simple: there are good Idaten and bad demons who fight each other. You can even say that everything sounds so trite and hackneyed that even about 100 years ago, this would be called boredom of mortal. But in reality it turns out not so simple. Idatena only at first glance look like defenders of people, but in reality they are more likely to be interested in the murder of demons and order on Earth in any form, and humanity itself does not care so much. More precisely this: the main thing for them is that it does not die. Although it is worth clarifying here, because all under one comb will be overwhelmed. She is the last representative of the Idatenas who once stopped demons in ancient times. But then she was not such a harsh warrior as at the time of the main events. She was very saddened by the loss of loved ones, at the same time, the thought that demons could get out to freedom were terribly frightened. Actually, when Rin realized that nothing threatens her, the girl began to harden herself physically and spiritually, to be prepared for a possible threat. But, as shown in one of the scenes, her spiritual wounds did not heal.

And if someone thought that demons are still good in history, since Idatena here is far from Painki, then you are very mistaken. Their main goal is survival, And for the sake of her they will go to everything, mercilessly killing any threat or a person unwanted to them … But not everything is so simple here. I don’t want to go into details, but, let’s say, in comparison with those completely brainless and wild demons with which the first Idatians fought, the current ones are much more reasonable and, moreover, some have a fairly pronounced humanity.

In general, in the series, the idea is the idea that both races are not the same that were before, and they can now coexist, but because of various factors and banal hostility, they cannot stop this bloody conflict. And people, not particularly resisting, dance under the tune of both of them. It looks a little ironic here Gil, An ordinary person and generally a church sister who suffered from the actions and inaction of both sides, but still believes in the world between all. Unfortunately, fate is not favorable every time to her. Why? Well, what can she do? Mir-world, however, by clicking his finger cannot be achieved, and she does not have the possibilities and influence of demons and divine warriors. Although, it is still worth noting that sometimes she can go to extremes with her pacifism, because of which he herself sometimes does not know what exactly she wants. Surprisingly, a well -prescribed conflict that affects different ethnic moments, but the main thing is shown quite interesting characters. Although this can not be said about everyone: the floor, as for me, behaves too passively and just follows the flow, but it is rather an isolated case and we can assume that its time has not yet come.

Often, very black and slightly bizarre. Although just funny scenes are more than enough here too. Well, maybe in some places they could overdo it, but given that they show the contexts of what is happening right, you can’t call it too much. I would like to highlight the action and local battles separately. They are not in them as such a tactical component, but they are dynamic and spectacular. Animation is also at the level. It is quite dynamic and does not lose at a pace. There were sagging, but really bad animation did not notice here. One has only to guess how much bags appeared under the eyes of Mappa workers this time.

Suddenly, I had an association with “Futurama”, True, there was still a better juggling comedy and it turned out to be better, but in some places the contrast looks like painfully careless. In this regard, I think that J.C.Staff: they made an excess towards the drama and, in my opinion, it does not work for the benefit of the series. For example, in one of the episodes, the familiar Leona was killed, which we first hear about. For what? So that the heroine has a reason to leave the tank police, because she is not allowed to exceed the authority. But in the end, she again takes on work, as if nothing had happened, and everything returns to her circles. Ironically, but in a less serious prequel of such moments, once or twice, but there they look more appropriate and better staged. And yet both versions are trying to amuse one way or another: whether it is different comical situations or chases and explosions during the next detention, and they generally succeed.

If we talk about humor, sometimes I want to tell myself that it is not as funny as it seems to me, but I can’t help but smile for some reason so absurd:

Of course, there are static moments in places, sometimes they can re-use some kind of animation or somewhere not very good to draw backs, but everything is not too critical. Except perhaps the black lanes on the sides, so they interfered with viewing, but there is nothing to be done: do not forget in which years they went out. If you highlight a specific action episode, then I strongly remember the scene with a truck that was stuffed with explosives. He was on autopilot, so it was not possible to stop him. The exit was found as follows: one person, in this case, the captain and a lover of fashionable black glasses, shoots a truck and one of his processors, thereby turning off the navigation system for a short time, and the other should click on the brakes in the transport itself. The missing will not turn off anything, the opened window for the brake is small, any mistake can lead to an explosion of an entire city – in short, classic. Nothing outstanding, but still amuses.

It’s hard for me to say something about the characters: in many ways they are a set of images, but some turned out to be charismatic and with a pleasant design in their own way. The main character can be distinguished, which will bring any to white heat with its firmness, Buaku, a sufficiently memorable antagonist, and Gemini Puma… I have to explain something here?!

I would like to say something about Seiyu, but I failed to find a version with Russian subtitles: for this, the title made only Russian ordino voice acting. Sorry.

To briefly characterize “dominion”, then this typical anime from the 80s and the spirit of many titles of that time can be traced. Whether the title came out with some complex and deep work? Nope. The author is trying to convey certain ideas, but rather satire. This is a cheerful, slightly naive militant of category “b”, who does not claim anything, but does not go to full trash and remains in the usual framework. The truth is also enough of their significant shortcomings in the form of a cut plot and not the best setting. And yet your share of pleasure here can be obtained. I can’t recommend it to everyone, but if you are looking for something easy, then the “dominion” will very much go. And lovers of the Titles of the 80s are very pleased to be very satisfied. More, if you ask me which of the two versions of the Dominion turned out better, then I would give my sympathies First adaptation, because she copes with her task.
